Co-production at a Regional Level
The Eastern Region of Parent Carer Forums (ERPCF) is a network of up to eleven Parent Carer Forums from the East of England. The ERPCF is a mutually supportive, member led organisation. Our members are the eleven local parent carer forums (PCFs) which are in receipt of the DfE’s “Parent Carer Participation Grant’. We sit between the National Network of Parent Carer Forums (NNPCF) and Local PCFs.
Regional working is becoming more important as many local authorities look to their regional Association of Directors of Children Services (ADCS), Local Government Associations (LGA), and Clinical Networks for guidance towards developing and improving local policies and processes. There are also movements towards regional commissioning activities that fall within the duty to coproduce and provide participation opportunities for children and young people with SEN and Disabilities and their parent carers. This means that the Eastern Region of Parent Carer Forums plays a vital role in enabling strategic parent carer participation, bringing local experiences to the table to ensure that regional activities reflect local needs.
